From the Page to the Screen

I just read Divergent by Veronica Roth in two days and really, really liked it. I should have known it was good when it was our best selling item at the Scholastic Book Fair! It is very Hunter Games-esque. It is part of a trilogy and you can pick up all three copies in our school library today. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Read Divergent before it hits the big screen on March 21, 2014.

Fun fact: Mrs. Castellano's cousin, Joanna Volpe, is Veronica Roth's agent. Way cool!

The book premise:
"In a future Chicago, sixteen-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life, a decision made more difficult when she discovers that she is an anomaly who does not fit into any one group, and that the society she lives in is not perfect after all."
